Exploring the Jeep Gladiator Bed Size

Exploring the Jeep Gladiator Bed Size

If you are planning to gear your Jeep Gladiator's bed, like adding a bed rack, tonneau cover, or other accessories, it is essential to know its size. We also provide other information, like a comparison of it with a Tacoma.

Jeep Gladiator Bed Size Overview

The Jeep Gladiator has been in production since 2019. It's good to know the car only features a standard bed size of approximately 5 feet (60.3 inches), so we don't need to worry about the compatibility issue when we are purchasing equipment.

Bed Length Considerations

  • Tailgate Closed: The Gladiator provides a compact bed length of 60.3 inches, making it suitable for various cargo types, from camping gear to tools.
  • Tailgate Open: With the tailgate down, the usable length extends to 81.3 inches, allowing for longer items to be transported easily.

Width Specifications

  • Opening Width at Tailgate: Measuring 50 inches, this width is helpful for loading larger items.
  • Width Between Wheel Wells: At 44.8 inches, this measurement is critical for fitting standard sheets of plywood or other large materials.

Comparing Jeep Gladiator Bed Size vs. Toyota Tacoma

As we mentioned, there is only a standard bed size for the Jeep Gladiator (JT). However, the Tacoma features two models: one with a 5-foot bed, which is the same as the Gladiator, and one with a 6-foot bed, which is the long version. Therefore, we will find that bed racks designed for the Toyota Tacoma also work with the Jeep Gladiator.

At Hooke Road, we provide two different heights of bed racks for the Jeep Gladiator (JT) and Tacoma 5' bed.

12.2" High Overland Bed Rack (Matching models with bed rails)

18.8" High Overland Bed Rack (Matching models with bed rails)

Jeep Gladiator Payload Capacity

Of course, we won't forget one key feature of the bed is its load capacity. For Jeep Gladiator offers a maximum payload capacity between approximately 1,120 and 1,700 pounds.  But this conclusion varies by trim and configuration.
